Museum Shop
The 21c Museum Shop is located inside the 21c Museum Hotel, and offers a wide range
of unique items designed to create a lasting impression of your visit to 21c. Each
month the Shop highlights the wares of a select artist or craftsman, with an emphasis
on local and sustainable work.
Artist Market
This December join us for our first annual Artist
Market on Friday, December 5th. Featuring work from:
iWood –
iWood ecodesign is a fashion design and manufacturing company based in Louisville,
KY. Since its launch in Spring 2006, the fashion community has provided mass acceptance
and encouragement of the wood eyewear and jewelry. iWood products have been featured
in highly regarded publications including House and Garden, Cosmopolitan,
Vogue, InStyle, O Oprah and Domino among others
and can be found in fashion boutiques around the United States and in international
destinations including Paris, Milan, London, Dubai, Tel Aviv, Tokyo and Barcelona.
iWood ecodesign uses exotic veneers made available by today's global economy. Each
pair of iWood ecodesign wooden sunglasses is designed with the environment in mind,
using the highest quality, eco-sustainable, exotic wood veneer. All iWood ecodesign
products are individually crafted with the most modern techniques combined with
old world craftsmanship to insure all products adhere to the highest standards.
Lindsay Moremen –
Everywhere she has lived – from growing up in Kentucky and New Orleans to studying
in Paris to traveling in Nepal, Morocco, Bolivia and Cape Town – Lindsay Moremen
has collected fabrics. The unique fabrics that she has collected appear in striking
and unexpected combinations of pattern, texture and color. Her collection includes
one-of-a-kind scarves, wraps, and belts that are elegant yet whimsical. They serve
as tactile memories of places and people, a collage of some extraordinary life experiences.
Crit Rawlings –
In his illustrious 40 year career in the men’s clothing industry, Crittenden Rawlings
has not only orchestrated some of the most celebrated launches in luxury menswear,
including Ralph Lauren’s Purple Label Menswear Collection, and helmed some of the
world's finest and most exclusive brands, such as Oxxford Clothes, but has become
one of the most respected authorities on fine clothing and luxury woolens in the
world.
Known as Crit, Mr. Rawlings is looked to in the clothing business as a expert on
and a connoisseur of quality. His knowledge of superlative fabric is matched by
his high regard for handcraftsmanship. Crit will be showing his CRITTENDEN line
of soft constructed jackets in luxurious fabrics including cotton cashmere corduroy,
velvet, and lambswool along with fine wool trousers and knitwear in cashmere and
cotton yarns.
ARCHITYPE –
ARCHITYPE is a locally owned and operated design house, specializing in leather
bags and accessories. Drawing inspiration from architecture, science, history, and
all aspects of culture and using rich and vibrantly colored leather, their designs
merge form and function to create products that are both beautiful and useful.
ARCHITYPE strives to uphold the principles of sustainability and responsible manufacturing
to create a prosperous business that also benefits the environment and local economy.
Leather is a renewable, durable, and biodegradable resource. ARCHITYPE uses quality
leathers from the USA, and recycled end-lots that may be discarded as waste from
large products, and they employ regional artisans to handcraft their designs.
John + Nicole Wheeler –
Sharing a mutual love of metal, the Wheelers create stunning handmade pieces from
silver or copper. John's work highlights an interest in mechanical design, often
using moving parts and complex shapes, while Nicole relies on simple shapes to create
intricate designs with clean lines. Enamel, found objects, and semi-precious stones
highlight their metal craftsmanship. The pieces are contemporary and unique – just
like you.
W&M Custom Jewelry –
W&M Custom Jewelry is a Louisville based designer of handcrafted, unique and
one-of-a-kind necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. They focus on providing special
gemstones and vintage pieces combined with the highest quality of sterling and vermeil
findings. Founded by Megan Walz and Becky McClellan, W&M strive to make elegant
companions for casual and sophisticated attire.

Gift Collection
Louisville Stoneware –
For nearly two centuries, Louisville Stoneware has graced our community with a tradition
matched only by it's commitment to artistic integrity. Just as natural food traditions

21c features a creation of Louisville Stoneware products for the table. Oven, microwave,

Featured Artists Books –
On par with the Museum's collection itself, the 21c Museum Shop offers rare and
hard to find artists books. Both literature and out of print catalogs are available
from contemporary artists such as Alfredo Jarr, Loretta Lux, Andres Serrano, and
Kara Walker. A catalogue featuring works from the Museum's permanent collection
